Chapelton of Elsick, Case Study 1

W M Donald was contracted to construct roads as part of the Chapelton of Elsick Development, including a new roundabout at the intersection between the Newtonhill flyover and the A90.

Aqueduct at Milltimber, AWPR

Our team were asked to divert the 800mm diameter gravity and 1200mm diameter pumped aqueducts that feed Aberdeen from the River Dee intakes at Invercannie Waterworks, Banchory.

Prime Four Business Park, Aberdeen

The principal task of this project was to provide access to the development site. This involved reshaping the roundabout to accommodate a third ‘stacking’ lane.

Dunnottar Park, Carron Den, Stonehaven

The first challenge of this project was to provide construction access to the site. The existing bridge on to the site was solely for agricultural use and was deemed unsuitable for construction activities.

Retaining Walls, Chapelton of Elsick

W M Donald was approached to reinforce concrete retaining walls which form the spine of a central retirement block.

Chapelton of Elsick, Case Study 2

W M Donald provided all the enabling works for the site including the construction of a new roundabout, access roads, hard landscaping including extensive use of SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems), construction of a 4km rising main, and access for utilities.

Pre-Survey of Multiple Brownfield Sites

The W M Donald team was contracted by Robertson Partnership Homes to pre-survey multiple Brownfield sites earmarked for social housing developments in Fife.

W M Donald was tasked to fully remediate a school playground with an existing surface water ponding issue that was not compliant with the client’s initial design specification.
