The client is Robertsons.
PROJECT AWARDS OF INTEREST
Woodend Eco Village, Banchory
Aberdeenshire Council has approved plans
for the construction of a new eco village at
the entrance to Banchory. The development consists of 32 homes, a quarter of which will be affordable housing.
Each home will be fitted with an air source heat pump for hot water and heating. Solar thermal panels will be installed to provide the energy. Landscaping will be designed to encourage biodiversity and wildlife habitats.
W M Donald will be delivering the roads, offsite works and drainage on the site. The drainage pipe will pass underneath the 1200mm Victorian elliptical brick aqueduct that carries drinking water from Invercannie treatment works into Aberdeen.
