Great progress is being made on the two housing infrastructure projects we are delivering for Barratt Homes North Scotland at Dykes of Gray, on the western edge of Dundee — our teams are rightly proud of what they have achieved here in such a short time.
W M Donald is delivering the enabling infrastructure — bulk earthworks, sewers, roads, footpaths, utility tracking and plotworks — across two adjoining sites, Liff and Stark 2, as part of the wider growth of this popular new community near the village of Liff.
At the Liff site, the plotworks team has now completed substructures on 16 plots — a strong platform for the housebuilding phase to follow. Meanwhile, our sewers teams have wrapped up all Phase 1 sewer installation, and the road-building squad isn't far behind, with Phase 1 carriageway construction already 50% complete.
It's a real team effort, with earthworks, drainage, roads and plotworks teams working in step across both sites to keep the programme moving at pace.
Dykes of Gray has grown rapidly into one of the most sought-after new-build locations around Dundee, offering a semi-rural, village-style setting just a short drive from the city centre, with green corridors, parkland and a growing community at its heart. Our infrastructure works on the Liff and Stark sites will pave the way for the next wave of family homes in this expanding development, helping meet the strong demand for new housing in the area.
With foundations laid, sewers in and roads taking shape, our team is well on track to hand over a safe, high-quality platform for the next stage of construction.
