W M Donald is on site at Wyndhill, Muir of Ord, delivering infrastructure works for Tulloch Homes' latest Highland development. WMD has been appointed Principal Contractor for the initial 12-week infrastructure phase, having mobilised on Monday 14th September, with Tulloch Homes taking over the site for the remainder of the project.
Wyndhill sits beside the A862 Great North Road on the edge of the village, and forms part of a wider consented scheme bringing 60 new homes to Muir of Ord — a mix of private and affordable properties, including 15 affordable homes, ranging from two-bedroom flats to four-bedroom houses. The design has been shaped around the site's character, retaining an existing standing stone and stretch of stone wall along the A862, with low-level hedgerow planting softening the streetscape, and a junior play area planned for future residents.
WMD's scope covers the infrastructure civil works that gets a development like this out of the ground: bulk earthworks, sewer installation, formation of roads and footpaths, utility tracking and plotworks — the essential civil engineering groundworks before Tulloch Homes can begin building in earnest.
This development is a welcome addition and a continuation of the company's strong working relationship with Tulloch Homes across the Highlands. The team looks forward to a safe, efficient initial phase before handing back the development for the homes that will follow.
